Who am I?
Hi, I'm Jo, and I want to make videogames for a living. :)
Ever since I was a small child in Sicily, videogames fascinated me.
Coincidentally, I also found a lot of joy in working on small electronics projects for my high school physics class. So when the time came, I decided to move to Milan to pursue an engineering degree in Computer Science.
I immediately fell in love with the art of low-level optimization, and had a blast working on a project with my team for the Xilinx Open Hardware, a competition hosted by the biggest FPGA manufacturers in the world, managing to get all the way to the finals. As much fun as FPGA optimization is, it finally became clear to me that there was one field within software development that could benefit from my dedication and attention to low-level optimization, while also stimulating that creative part of my brain: game development. Over the years I have had so much experience playing games and making memories through them, and in the process, inadvertently developed an idea of what makes games good. Ever since then, it's been my clear goal of mine to follow a path that would eventually lead to allowing me the possibility to work on a game I could call my own.
